05/05/2009 Entry: "Day 1: 2009 IBM Impact and Inner Circle"

So we got in on Sunday and I got a 41st floor room overlooking the strip. Nice. Nothing really to complain about there. Year 2 in Inner Circle is good so far, although I haven't picked the best sessions. Happy to see the CloudBurst appliance, although I'm still confused on what it does. I assumed that it's an app server in a box, but I got the impression from others that it's just a deployment device. I don't really need that. Saw Billy Crystal this morning which was cool. Tao for dinner was really nice. Way too much food, although I need gelato afterwards. I watched some Pai Gow Poker and lost $5 in a penny slot machine... so big picture, it was a pretty good Vegas day!
